FEE SCHEDULE

Private-guided tour

We will work with you to develop a private-guided customized tour to suite your interests. Prices vary depending on itinerary and activity. Call to work with us to develop your tour. To secure your booking, we request a deposit of half the total fee.

Half-day birding/tide-pooling/scenic Acadia tour: $295 for up to 6 people; $25 per additional person
Full-day birding/tide-pooling/scenic Acadia tour: $495 for up to 6 people; $35 per additional person
Half-day sea kayak: $325 for up to 4 people; $45 per additional person
Full-day sea kayak: $595 for up to 4 people; $65 per additional person
Bag lunches from a local deli are available for an extra charge. Or bring your own.

POLICIES

National Park Entrance Fees

For tours in Acadia National Park, the National Park Services requires all people on a commercial tour pay an Entrance Fee. Fees can be paid at multiple locations around Bar Harbor. You can also pay at www.nps.gov/acad/planyourvisit/fees.htm. To purchase online, scroll down to “Buy Your Digital Pass on Recreation.gov,” then follow the link to “buy then print your pass online.” If your only time to enter Acadia National Park is with The Natural History Center, you can choose the “Per Person” option; otherwise, chose the option appropriate to your needs. And if you have a National Parks Senior Pass, Military Pass, or other appropriate pass, you are all set.

Cadillac Mountain Timed Entrance Pass

Should you wish to drive up Cadillac Mountain, you will need a timed entry pass. For details and to purchase, browse https://www.nps.gov/acad/planyourvisit/vehicle_reservations.htm and scroll down to “Vehicle Reservations Required for Cadillac Summit Road”.

Cancellations

(Please note that our credit card company no longer refunds processing fees, so our refund policy has been amended to reflect this.)

Should you need to cancel for any reason, doing so more than 3 weeks before our tour entitles you to a full refund of your deposit minus 5%. For cancellations made between 3 weeks and 3 days before our scheduled meeting time, we will refund half your deposit minus 5%. Unfortunately, should you cancel less than 72 hours (3 days) before our scheduled meeting time, we are unable to offer a refund. And for tours canceled less than 24 hours before our meeting time, we will need to charge the full fee.

All that said, most of our tours run regardless of weather. However, in the event of extreme inclement weather, we will work with you to find an equitable solution. This can be rescheduling your tour or canceling your tour and offering you a full refund (minus 5%).

Gratuities

Tips are welcome but not expected. We pay our guides a living wage, so they will give you the same high quality tour whether or not you choose to offer a gratuity.
