Coming out of an intensive year of birding, Rich wrote a book (Little Big Year: Chasing Acadia’s Birds), a fun read about birds and birding. But he was disturbed by how many miles he actually drove just to go birding. This has led to a more deliberate effort to mitigate his own carbon footprint while birding.
